Performed by Ariane Mahrÿke Lemire, from her 2011 album Wrecked Tangles and Love Knots. Shooting this video in one day was a logistical challenge in planning and executing shots of the couple in the city scenes. Shrinking them down to tiny size was hard too. Ariane and I spent days scrounging materials and constructing the little cardboard town, which could have looked spectacular in flames, but we opted for potato-flake snow to better match the music.

The first single from Deon Blyan’s album “Turning to Wave” is all about encountering the mighty and elusive Chelsea Hotel, which has been home to many prolific writers and musicians. Fortunately for us, we had the chance to film in Manhattan for the day, checking out the rock and roll landmarks of Greenwich Village and the hotel itself. My first, and definitely not my last, visit to New York City.

Dusty Roads and Broken Hearts

This is the latest video by The Lonely Heart Show from the album “Hope In Shadows”, dealing with the personal pain with long distance relationships. There were so many people involved including Jesse Hutch, Aisling Grace and Morrismore Productions.

It needs to be mentioned that we appreciate the good people at the Wallflower Diner who allowed us to cry all over their bar and jukebox.

It also needs to be said that some of the vibe of this video was inspired this music video for Dead Sound– of my favorites from the underrated Raveonettes.

Little Love Hymn

A Little Love Hymn by F&M is the first from their new album, “Sincerely, F&M” (2010 Shameless Records Canada). It is an intimate, understated performance piece shot in the beautiful Church of our Lord when the band was in Victoria, BC for the western leg of their Canadian tour.

This Is It Video

The video for This Is It by The Wheat Pool is the first single from their sophomore album, Hauntario.
The production was a couple quick shoots to catch the band when they were passing through Vancouver and trashing a friend’s apartment while he was at work (with his permission). Unfortunately our budget didn’t allow for smashing guitars or burning down the apartment. Until that day comes, we can always dream.

Loners’ Lullabye Video

Loners’ Lullabye is the first video for the Lonely Heart Show’s new album, Hope in Shadows. LHS songwriter and vocalist evokes the sense of sleepily drowning in a sea of loneliness. This video was shot on the beaches and in the alleyways and apartments of Vancouver in the late spring of 2010.

This was a complete branding package for Rouge Nailbar in Montreal. The package included web and print media design including posters, store signage and graphics and a franchise book. The design had do compliment the sister company, Bleu Dry Bar and the Rouge Nailbar Academy.
